Ensure you are registered for gas, electric water and council tax.

By now all tenants should ensure that they are registerecd for gas, electric, water and council tax. Bills should not be in the name of the occupier but in the tenants names. You should also try obtain your council tax exemption certificate from Leeds City Council as you will require this at the end of tenancy to reclaim your deposit.

Getting Your Deposit Back

At the end of tenancy you need to be up to date with your utility bills to claim your deposit back. This means that by now you should be up to date with your Gas, Electric and Water bills. You also need to be registered with the Council as you will need to provide proof of all these to claim back your deposit. A more in depth description on how to claim back you deposit has been sent out to all houses so ask your house mates.

April Quarterly Rent Payments 2005


We have had notification that the last April loan payments will not be in until the 18th of April 2005. This means that the April, quarterly Direct Debits and Cheques will be called for or cashed until the 18th of April. Monthly payments will be taken as usual as the only reason given for not paying quarterly is that you are not reliant on your student loan to fund your rent.

2005/ 2006 House Hunting

As the experienced house hunters amongst you will know the time has come that people start to think about accommodation for 2005/2006. Current tenants wishing to stay in there house should let us know before the 14th of January 2005 as this is when viewings will start. If you do wish to stay on you need to come to the office and re-sign to avoid disappointment. If you wish to transfer to a different sized house or area our letting brochure is available from the office. You will not have to pay a new deposit and there will be no signing fee to existing Deu Estates customers.

Letting Brochure !AVAILABLE NOW!

We are happy to say that the letting brochure 2005 is now available from the office. In it you will find a full listing of properties for 1 9 bedrooms with full prices per room, per calendar month. If you wish to view any of the properties listed then we will be happy to show you round. Just call the office on 0113 275 1010 and make an appointment.

Landlords Wishing to Advertise for 2005/2006

All landlords wishing to advertise in the 2005/2006 letting brochure need to let us know before the 14th of November 2005 as the brochure needs to go to print on the 17th November 2005. All properties already let by us will be put into the brochure unless you have told us otherwise. Any new landlords wishing to advertise in the brochure are more than welcome. Just give the office a call with the details and we will set the ball rolling.

Everything is taken care of with a property from DEU estates.
