The real question is what isn't going on? There are activities for families, couples, groups or individuals! You can shop till you drop all day long; pop to Trinity Shopping Centre for all your favourite brands or The Victoria Quarter for high-class clothing.

You could catch a play at The West Yorkshire Playhouse or explore some history at the Royal Armouries! Leeds has also recently finally got their own arena; with world class acts performing on a big stage, only five minutes next the University area! If you are however into DJs and smaller musical acts pop down to the Leeds University Union; who showcase up and coming talent weekly.

How to get around...

If it's the city centre you're trying to reach, it's right on your doorstep! There are bus links dotted all around the city centre which can take you to all the surrounding areas in Leeds! Leeds train station is situated only ten minutes away, which transports you to cities and towns all around England.


Leeds city centre is not short of restaurants! Whatever you fancy on the day, you’ll find it somewhere in the city – we have handpicked a few of our favourites from a range of cuisines.

Just by the train station we have Chaophraya. It may be slightly more upmarket than other Thai eateries in the centre but well worth the trip! The décor is impressive and the service along with the food is impeccable.

By Granary Warf, you can enjoy a unique dining experience at Fazenda. This is one for the meat lovers, only! At Fazenda you will experience delectable cuts of different meats from Brazilian culinary.

Bar and Grill, a European restaurant is located on city square in an iconic old post office building. It has a large outside heated terrace and seating area overlooking the commotion of the city centre. As you walk into the restaurant and bar; you are welcomed with a shimmering interior as shelves are lined with wine bottles.


Leeds city centre claims to have the best nightlife in the North… and it won't disappoint!

At Granary Warf, if you hit the top floor button on the lift at the Hilton Double Tree Hotel you will reach the chic Sky Lounge. You can sip on handmade cocktails whilst overlooking the city of Leeds!

You should make a trip down to Call Lane if you're a fan of bar hopping, the street is lined with bars and clubs to choose from; Jakes, Normans and Revolution are to name few.
